Os Filtros WMI – Windows Management Instrumentation permitem determinar dinamicamente o escopo dos objetos de Diretiva de Grupo (GPO) com base em atributos do computador de destino.
Quando uma GPO que está ligada a um filtro WMI é aplicado no computador de destino, o filtro é avaliado no computador de destino. Se o filtro WMI for avaliado como falso, a GPO não é aplicada (exceto se o computador cliente está executando o Windows 2000, caso em que o filtro é ignorado eo GPO é sempre aplicado). Se o filtro WMI for avaliado como verdadeiro, a GPO é aplicada.
O Wmi Filter é um recurso muito util para personalizar as GPOs:
